Michelle…what an excellent recap of some of the main ways to earn a living online.
I think initially, most people jump around from one method to the next. While it is not necessary to put all your eggs in 1 basket, most would benefit from focusing on 2 or 3 actions that deliver an income, especially if they have chosen the blogging route.
Thanks Stephen.
Yes, most of the important tasks for making progress online can be narrowed down to a list of two or three. The key is focus, which you mention. If we can remain focused on the vital actions then progress is almost inevitable.
Wandering around all over the web in loads of forums, on Facebook, Twitter etc…that’s where the distractions come in and the important tasks get pushed aside. If we’re avoiding those things that are vital because we despise doing them then we should outsource.
Time is precious, we should use it wisely, not that I need to tell you that.
Wow this is an awesomely in-depth article, loved it! A lot of people want to “make money online” but don’t know where to start… I think I might point them here to give them a quick recap of some of the more popular methods and how they work.

Great points Walter, particularly about adaptability and patience!
Excellent collection of ideas! some of your idea never came to my mind, until today. It’s true that if you want to work at home, you need to have the right mind set. Thanks for sharing!
great article and great steps to make money onlone. Will tell my community and bookmark.
Anything that promises you a get rich scheme is a scam. I usually just make extra spending money. I’ve used mechanical turk with Amazon for a while and that makes me a couple extra bucks. You can also try Varolo. This gives me continuous stream of income. It’s a networking site that promotes advertisements for free.

GREAT article! Well written and well structured. I clicked your link from the Warrior forum. Too many of these “guides” skirt the real facts and focus on selling but your page made a refreshing change and was factually informative.
Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
