Everybody is a beginner at some stage and if you’re a beginner blogger then never fear, it’s not all that complicated and once you start blogging you’ll feel like you’ve been doing it for years after only a few days!
So what is blogging all about?
If you want to record your ideas, opinions, or other information, on the Internet, where other individuals can read them, you will be using an online journal known as a blog. The form of blog you will use will be determined by the style that appeals to you, as there are a variety of blog formats, styles, and settings to choose from.
Pictures, hyperlinks, and straight texts are some of the elements found at blogging sites. Uploading mp3′s and videos are options available on some blogging sites as well. You’ll find that there are bloggers who provide spoken blog entries as opposed to written text, to appeal to those who prefer an audio blogging experience.
A blog is typically comprised of several elements: a title, which gives your post a name; the body, which is your blog content; permanent links, the URL associated with each article written; trackbacks, which provide links from other websites to your blog; and comments, which is feedback left by individuals who have read your blog.
Why Else Do We Blog?
There are other uses for blogging besides simply personal writings. Topics such as philosophy, sports, and politics, as well as social commentary, are a few of the themes that you can expect to find in blogs. When a blog is dedicated to a particular topic, you can expect to find posts supporting that theme. What this amounts to is a vehicle for individuals to convey their thoughts, knowledge, and experience with others, about a wide array of subjects.
You will even notice that many blogs are used as a method for publicising the blogger’s products or services. And still other blogs have the objective of educating individuals about problems, news, and world occurrences going on today.
Blogs have also found a place in the education system. It’s said that even university professors have been known to follow up their classroom lesson with a blog that substantiates what has been covered in class. If you had missed that class, you would have the benefit of reading the professor’s blog, to learn about what was discussed, and get any missed class assignments.
Blogging can be a great way for business owners to advertise their product or service, as the Internet provides an audience of millions each day, which means that blogging can be a profitable technique for growing your business. Online business owners will often times advertise their products by writing a blog about them.
Although these types of blogs are quite popular, the personal journal type of blogging is the most widely used of all. A beginner blogger will often get their feet wet with these types of blogs. Individuals find satisfaction in recording their ideas, thoughts, difficulties, poems, and pretty much anything that affects their lives.
Blogging Community
One thing that makes blogging so popular, is that bloggers have the ability to interact amongst themselves. What results is a community where a group of individuals can express their opinions and ideas with others who are interested.
Individuals throughout the world enjoy blogging, and the fact that it can be done by anyone without stringent guidelines or restrictions it’s no wonder it’s so popular. The freedom of expression that blogging provides is one of the main attractions of it. Anyone can relish the enjoyment that comes from blogging, as it’s easy enough for individuals of any Internet skill level to participate in.
